- Adding a Level of Care (LOC) Order from Bed Planning - (Handout) A Level of Care (LOC) order can be placed from the Bed Planning activity.
- Adding an Isolation Order - (Handout) In the event that isolation information is received during the report for a patient transferring the University of Iowa Healthcare, staff will place an appropriate Isolation Order.
- Admitted Patient Not Returning to Unit Following Procedure - (Handout) When a clinician places an order for a procedure (a case request) on a current inpatient, they can indicate that the patient should not return to their inpatient bed.
- Canceling a Bed Hold - (Handout) ATC staff can cancel a bed hold if a patient is not going to return to their current unit following a procedure. The unit will call the ATC and request that they cancel the ‘Hold Old Bed’ so that it can be made available for expected admissions or transfer.
- Canceling a Bed Request - (Handout) When ATC staff would like to cancel a bed request (before or after it has been planned to the unit). This action can be completed from any group on the Unassigned, Pre-Assigned, or Assigned tabs in Bed Planning or from either the Direct Admits or Incoming Transfers sections of the Unit Manager.
- Changing EVS Bed Cleaning Request to Stat - (Handout) When a unit would like to update a normal priority bed cleaning request to a Stat priority cleaning, the NUC or RN will call the ATC.
