Willow Inpatient Courses
Willow Inpatient Pharmacist
Class Length: 4 hours
Prerequisites: Willow Inpatient Pharmacist Prerequisite (Online)
- Attending this class is REQUIRED in order to keep your Epic Willow Pharmacy access.
- Completing the ICON course is required to in order to attend the Willow Inpatient Pharmacy class and get Epic Pharmacy access into Epic.

Roles: UIHC Acute (Inpatient) Pharmacists and Residents
Content: This course includes basic Epic Hyperspace navigation and common Inpatient Pharmacist workflows. Hyperspace functionality taught include patient lists, pt station, chart review, results review, placing during-visit orders, and In Basket. Willow functionalities taught in class include medication dispensing process, MAR, I-Vents, verification, Order Hx, and printing med labels. These functionalities are taught as part of workflows such as; complex order entry, changing medication orders, entering custom IV fluids, patient-supplied medications, non-formulary medications, and pharmacist monitoring tools.
Willow Inpatient Pharm Tech
Class Length: 2 hours

Roles: Acute Care (Inpatient) Pharmacy Technicians
Content: This course includes basic Epic Hyperspace navigation and common Inpatient Pharmacy Technician workflows. Hyperspace functionality taught include patient lists, pt station, chart review, results review, and In Basket. Willow functionalities taught in class include medication dispensing process, bulk orders, Order Hx, and printing med labels.
Willow Inpatient Pharmacy Student

Willow Ambulatory Courses
Willow Ambulatory Pharmacy
Class Length: 4 hours
Prerequisites:
- Non-Pharmacists: Willow Ambulatory Pharmacy Staff ICON Prerequisites
- Pharmacists: Willow Ambulatory Pharmacist ICON Prerequisites
Notes:
- Completing the Prerequisite ICON course is required to get Epic Pharmacy access into Epic.
- Attending the Willow Ambulatory Pharmacy class is required to keep your Epic Pharmacy Access.
Registration: Registration Instructions
Roles: Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Students, Support Service Specialists and Revenue Cycle Representatives working in a UI HealthCare Ambulatory (Outpatient) Pharmacy.
Content: Workflows for order entry, filling, and verification of prescriptions.
Willow Outpatient Support Staff
Class Length: 30 minutes
Prerequisites: None
Registration: Registration Instructions
Roles: Clerk IIs with Pharmacy Support registrations who will be working in ambulatory pharmacies to assist with patient flow.
Content: Navigating Willow Ambulatory, updating registration information, completing sales in Willow Point Of Sale, registering patient's for MyChart and sending messages via SecureChat.
Willow Inventory Courses
Willow Inventory for Ambulatory Pharmacy
Class Length: 2 hours
Prerequisites: Willow Ambulatory Pharmacy
Registration: Registration Instructions
Roles: Ambulatory Retail Snr. Pharmacy Technicians and Ambulatory Retail Pharmacists
- This course is required for Snr. Pharm Techs to gain access to the Willow Inventory tools.
Content: Introduction to the Willow Inventory Tools, Requesting and receiving inventory from suppliers, transferring stock between pharmacies, inventory item management and running basic inventory reports.
Willow Pharmacy Specialty
EPIC WILLOW SPECIALTY PHARMACY
Class Length: 2.5 hours
Prerequisites: Willow Specialty Pharmacy ICON Course
The link to the ICON course is provided to the trainee, once they are registered for a specific Willow Specialty Pharmacy session to attend.
