Anesthesia

Class Length: 4 hours

Content: Anesthesia workflows for pre-op, intra-op, and post-op. 

Roles: CRNA

Course Materials:

ASAP (Emergency)

Class Length: 8 hours total

Content: ED Manager, Track Board, triage documentation, charting vitals, pain, allergies, Medication History, Screenings, Medication Administration Record (MAR), lines/drains/airways (LDAs), placing verbal/protocol orders, Point of Care Tests, and In Basket.

Role: Registered Nurse, Paramedic, and Licensed Practical Nurse

Course Materials:

Class Length: 4 hours

Content: Intro to Hyperspace, Chart Review, Results Review, Track Board, ED Manager, writing notes, creating/using SmartTools, placing orders, documenting procedures, disposition.

Roles: ED Providers

Beaker - Clinical Pathology (Lab)

Class Length: 4 hours

Content: Intro to Hyperspace, Chart Review basics, order tests with written order, release orders in Order Inquiry, collect specimens in patients and ambulatory patients, receive specimens, use the Add-on pool, and document EKGs throught Enter/Edit (if your site follows this workflow).

Course Materials:

Class Length: 4 hours

Content: Intro to Hyperspace, Chart Review basics, receiving specimens, create a packing list for tests to be sent out to other labs, entering and verifying results, adding orders, accessing and navigating the Procedure Catalog and In Basket basics.

Course Materials:

OpTime (OR/Procedure)

Class Length: 4 hours

Content: Interpret Status Board and Master Daily Schedule reports. Work through the Pre-Op Navigator sections including placing orders.

Roles: Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and OR Manager

Class Length: 4 hours

Content: Work through the Intra Op Navigator sections including placing orders.

Roles: Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and OpTime Manager

Content: Work through the PACU and Post Op Navigator sections and Blood Administration.

Content: Content includes using the Status Board, scheduling cases using the Snapboard and editing case schedules.

Content: Content includes using the procedural navigator sections including therapy plans.

Roles: Outpatient Infusion or Procedure Nurse

Course Materials:

Radiant (Radiology)

Class Length: 4 hours

Content: This class is designed to give an overview of radiology-specific functionality for various radiology staff. This includes scheduling a patient’s imaging order, checking in a patient for an exam, adding external orders into Epic, beginning and ending an exam, documenting the administration of contrast, and more. While it is not expected that students will have mastered the content by the end of the class, they should have a solid understanding of the general functionality and available resources for support on the job.

Course Materials:

Willow (Pharmacy)

Class Length: 4 hours 

Content: Willow Ambulatory workflows for order entry, filling, refilling, verification of prescriptions, adjudication failures, patient registration, and My Chart requests. 

Roles: Ambulatory Pharmacist; Ambulatory Pharmacy Tech 

Prerequisite(s): Site-specific.

Class Length: 4 hours

Content: Complex Order Entry, Medication Reconciliation workflow, verification of orders, pharmacist rounding and monitoring tools and reports, and handling In Basket med messages.

Roles: Inpatient Pharmacist
