EpicCare Ambulatory is the electronic medical record application for the outpatient settings. With the initial Epic GoLive in May 2009, the UIHC implemented EpicCare Inpatient and used Hospital Outpatient Visits within our outpatient setting. Starting in July 2012, many of the outpatient clinics have transitioned to EpicCare Ambulatory. This has brought additional functionality related to documentation, charge capture, and widescreen view.

Patient Goals

• Editing Patient Goals - (Handout) Providers can edit patient goals within the clinic Office Visit navigator. This helps providers create a collaborative care plan for patients and meet Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMH) designation.
