BEAKER AP
Course Length: 1-3 hours (depending on role)
Prerequisites: None
Registration: Online Search for: Beaker AP
Roles: Lab Manager, Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), Histotech, Gross Assistant, Transcriptionist, Accessioner, Hemetech, Cytotech, Flowtech, and Decedent Care Specialist.
Content: Intro to Hyperspace, assigning and creating Anatomic Pathology (AP) cases, completing tasks and tracking AP cases, and finding AP case information.
BEAKER CP FOR LAB TECHS
Course Length: 2.5 hours
Prerequisites: None
Registration: Online Search for: Beaker CP
Roles: Lab Managers, Medical Lab Scientists (MLS), Medical Lab Technicians (MLT), Lab Technicians, Clerk Technicians, Health Science Clinicians (as appropriate) and Student Lab Workers
Content: Intro to Hyperspace, Chart Review basics, Receiving Specimens, Entering and Verifying Results, using the Comm Log, scheduling One-Click Appointments, Receiving Specimens from a Submitter, accessing and navigating the Procedure Catalog and Specimen Inquiry, add-on specimens through In Basket, and Sending Out Specimens to a reference lab.
BEAKER CP FOR PHLEBOTOMISTS
Course Length: 3 hours
Prerequisites: None
Registration: Online Search for: Beaker CP
Roles: Phlebotomy Technicians and Student Phlebotomy Workers
Content: Intro to Hyperspace, Chart Review basics, Collecting Specimens from an inpatient, Collecting Specimens from a scheduled patient, scheduling and registering a Walk-In patient, accessing and navigating the Procedure Catalog and Specimen Inquiry, and In Basket basics.
BEAKER FOR OFF-SITE CLINICS
Course Length: 4 hours
Prerequisites:
- Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Paramedics - Epic Clinic Nursing series
- Off-site staff who will conduct lab activities - Epic Beaker CP for Lab Techs
- New hires will have a short add-on session at the end of Epic Beaker CP for Lab Techs to learn Off-Site specific information.
Registration: Online Search for: Beaker for Off-site
Roles: Off-site clinic/lab staff who will be conducting lab activities in an off-site lab
Content: Intro to Hyperspace, Lab Collection, Specimen Receiving (Clinical Path Specimens), the Outstanding List, Entering Results, Verifying Results, using the Comm Log, Correcting Results, Sending Out Specimens, Case Receiving (Anatomical Path Specimens), and Add-ons.
BEAKER FOR VA
Class Length: 3 hours
Prerequisites: None
