UpToDate (also known as Clinical Knowledge Base) is an evidence-based, peer-reviewed information resource. All users have access to this database and it is found in many different Epic activities.

The following resources provide information on UpToDate functionality.

• UpToDate/Clinical Knowledge Base - (Handout) UpToDate (Clinical Knowledge Base) can be found in many activities within Epic and is accessed in a variety of ways. These include right-clicking, hovering, and using a toolbar button. This database will either open within the Epic screen or as a new Internet browser page. UpToDate is an evidence-based, peer-reviewed information resource.
