A Sticky Note is an Epic tool that can be used within the patient chart as a personal, non-medical, form of documenting information, in most applications this is user specific and only can be seen by the logged in user, however, there are applications that have customized this to be patient specific and can be seen by any user logged into that patient's chart, for example if a patient was going on vacation and the physician wished to remember to ask about it upon their return, they could type something in their sticky note to remind them at a later date.
