Rehab Therapy covers workflows specific to Activity Services, Occupational and Physical Therapy. These workflows cover reviewing patients charts and clinical documentation.

Resources

The following resources provide information on Rehab Therapy functionality.

  • Charge Capture Workflow for Rehab Therapy (PT/OT) - (Handout) Physical and Occupational therapists will use the described workflow to document therapy charges. Charges MUST be filed before pulling flow sheet data into the Clinic/Consult/Progress note. This is so charges are printed on the note for 3rd party payors.

  • Discharge Communication Across Disciplines - (Handout) Rehab Therapists use the Patient Lists activity to communicate discharge information with other disciplines within the hospital (e.g. social workers). A summary of the discharge plan may be viewed within the Discharge Planning report.

  • Inpatient Consult Notes - (Handout) Rehab Therapy will be creating notes so other users can find their documentation. The information in the notes will pull in from all of the sections that are filled out in the navigator. If a consult is placed then a consult note will be used on the initial service, and all follow-ups for the same patient are progress notes.

  • Inpatient Progress Notes - (Handout) Rehab Therapy will be creating notes so other users can find their documentation. The information in the notes will pull in from all of the sections that are filled out in the navigator. Therefore, no free text will be typed within the notes.

  • Inpatient Rehab Therapies Supply Ordering - (Handout) To place DME orders on IP Rehab, use the Homegoing DME Supplies - Musculoskeletal Order Set.

  • Outpatient Rehab Therapies Supply Ordering - (Handout) Outpatient DME orders must have the DME supplier documented within the DME Supplies section of the Outpatient PT navigator. These orders can be discontinued/cancelled using the Order Review activity.

  • Outpatient Clinic Notes - (Handout) Rehab Therapy will be creating notes so other users can find their documentation. The information in the notes will pull in from all of the sections that are filled out in the navigator. Therefore, no free text will be typed within the notes. This is a guide to the outpatient note.
