Kaleidoscope is Epic's ophthalmology application and provides additional features for ophthalmology specialty departments, such as support for procedural-based workflows and subspecialty exam documentation.

The following resources provide information on Kaleidoscope functionality.
- Imaging & Procedures Home – Quick Start Guide - (Handout) The Imaging and Procedures Home is a cross-patient view of imaging and procedures. Providers can use this activity to result multiple tests for different patients.
- Kaleidoscope SmartTools - (Handout) SmartLinks and SmartPhrase allow the user to pull elements of the Ophth Exam into a note or a letter.
- Ophth Exam Drawing Tools - (Handout) The drawing icons within the Ophthalmology Exam allow the clinician to document using a number of drawing tools including lines, shapes, and stencils.
- Ophthalmology Auto-Correct Dictionary - (Handout) The ophthalmology-specific auto-correct dictionary converts abbreviations to their corresponding ophthalmology term.
- Rooming, Status, and Tech Work List in Ophthalmology - (Handout) Rooming and dashboard statuses allow users to track the movement of a patient throughout the clinic.
- Scheduling Perimetry Orders - (Handout) How to schedule Perimetry orders for today and the future.
- Signing, Reviewing, and Printing Eye Glass Prescriptions - (Handout) Providers are able to sign eye glass prescriptions from the Eye Exam navigator or the Wrap Up activity. The prescription(s) can then be reviewed and printed from either the Eye Exam or the SnapShot activity.
