Professional Coding Queries and SmartPhrases - (Handout) Aligned with UIHC organizational goals to ensure appropriate clinical documentation occurs within the medical record, the Professional Coding Division has worked to streamline clinical documentation queries that appear in your In-Basket Folder. These query’s will be titled Professional Coding Query, which defines the source of the query is for Outpatient and Professional Services.

Standardized Coder/Provider SmartPhrases - (Handout) The purpose of the SmartPhrases is to ensure consistency and standardization in messages sent between the Professional Coding Division coders and the UIHC physicians, as it relates to coding queries and coding questions.
