Blood Administration and Collection Process
The Blood Administration and Collection process includes the placing of the Dispense and Administer orders, collecting the specimen, releasing the orders, and documenting the administration. A critical feature of this process is the barcode scanning of the patient, requisition, blood specimen, and blood product.
