Transport and Dispatch is an Epic activity that allows for the tracking and management of transport requests and service tasks. Transporters use the Rover mobile app to sign in/out of shifts and interact with requests. Transport managers use the Transport Command Center to assign, edit, and cancel requests and monitor staff movement and productivity.
Class length: 15-20 minutes (online)
Prerequisites: None
Registration: No registration is required. Transport HR will provide staff with a link to the online training. Successful completion of the online course will generate a request to the Epic Education Team so that they can facilitate system access.
Roles: Transport Staff
Content: Working with transport requests using a mobile device, including signing in for a shift, viewing, acknowledging, and completing requests.

Content: Using Epic's Transport Command Center to monitor and manage transport activities. Workflows include navigating the Transport Command Center, creating, assigning, and editing Patient and Non-Patient requests, and working with requests using a mobile device. Supplemental resources include creating hospital technician records.
