- Licensed research staff should take the Epic training appropriate for their licensure (ex: nurse), in addition to any research requirements.

REVIEW OR MANAGE RESEARCH STUDIES IN EPIC
Prerequisites: None
Registration: E0092: Epic Documentation for Research Students, Staff, & Faculty.
Roles: Research Coordinators and other users who need to review or manage study details and enrollment.
Note: Qualifying research studies are automatically built in Epic after IRB approval. If you have any questions about this process, please contact Heath Davis at hdavis@uiowa.edu.
EPIC ANCILLARY
Class Length: 4 hours
Registration: Epic Ancillary
Roles: Research staff who will need to document clinical information in a subject's chart.

LINK CHARGES TO RESEARCH STUDIES
Prerequisites: Appropriate Revenue/Billing training to receive the primary security necessary to perform this function. Only specific Research Billing staff perform these tasks and receive this security.
Registration: E-mail Epic Training Requests. Include the name of the staff person requesting access, their job role, and their staff ID number in the e-mail.
Roles: UIHC staff needing to link charges to a research study for billing and tracking purposes using the Research Billing Review activity.
