EVS (Environmental Services) is an Epic module that allows for the tracking and management of bed cleaning activities. EVS staff use the Rover mobile app to sign in/out of shifts and interact with bed clean assignments. Managers use the EVS Command Center in Epic to assign, reassign, edit, and cancel cleaning assignments, track staff movement, and monitor productivity.
Class length: 20-30 minutes (online)
Prerequisites: None
Registration: No registration is required. EVS HR will provide staff with a link to the online training. Successful completion of the online course will generate a request to the Epic Education Team so that they can facilitate system access.
Roles: Environmental Services (EVS) Staff
Content: Working with cleaning requests using a mobile device, including signing in for a shift, viewing requests, and completing requests. Supplemental resources for working with cleaning requests using a workstation.

Content: Using Epic's EVS Command Center to monitor and manage housekeeping activities. Workflows include navigating the EVS Command Center, managing EVS technicians, assigning requests, creating and editing requests, and working with requests using a mobile device. Supplemental resources for working with cleaning requests using a workstation and creating hospital technician records.
