Roles: Diagnostic or Non-Invasive Cardiology & Vascular Imaging Technologists and Sonographers

Content: General Overview of Epic, Intro to Secure Chat, Patient Schedule, Chart Review, Performing Non-Invasive Cardiology Exams, Work List Settings, Study History, Verify Orders, Begin/End Exam Documentation, Ancillary Orders, and Add Ons.

Class length: 2-3 hours

Prerequisites: Epic LIP Basics for Providers (or Epic LIP Test Out for Providers)

Registration: To schedule training for a new cardiology cath lab provider, e-mail epictrainingrequests@healthcare.uiowa.edu.

Roles: Staff and Fellows performing and resulting Cath Lab procedures.

Content: Overview of the Status Board, pre-procedure documentation (placing procedure orders, documenting the H&P using NoteWriter, obtaining procedure consent), overview of the Reading Work List, and result report documentation in Study Review. Staff will also review In Basket notifications regarding report deficiencies and how to create an addendum.
