ADT (Admission/Discharge/Transfer) is Epic's system for tracking inpatients from their arrival, to their movements inside the hospital, and finally to their departure.

Class length: 4 hours

Prerequisites: Unit Clerks, Patient Care Technicians, and Nursing Assistants must complete an online prerequisite course before attending ADT class. The prerequisite link will be mailed to participants upon registration.

Charge Nurses, RNs, Nurse Managers, or ATC staff members must have attended their appropriate primary Epic training (such as the Inpatient RN class, ATC class, etc.) prior to attending Epic ADT for Nursing class.

Roles:  Nursing Unit Clerks (NUC), Nursing Assistants (NA), Patient Care Technicians (PCT), Charge Nurses, Nurse Managers, or ATC staff.

Content: In-depth exploration of the Unit Manager activity including care areas, completion of Direct Admits and Incoming Transfers, Patient Transport, Discharge, Event Management, and Media Manager scanning.
